Love Songs From the Summers of the Sixties

There was nothing like young love or at least that is what we thought back in the sixties.  Do you remember your first love, your first kiss, or even your first date with that somebody special.  Perhaps you married your high school sweetheart or wondered "what if?" 

Reflecting back to that time and to that "special someone" is something everybody does at one time or another, even at our age. 

Do you recall when you started going together, the songs that were playing when you two were an item? 

Romance always seem to blossom more during the summer months and the sixties were no different.  I don't know whether it is because of the beach apparel, halter tops, shorts, the warmth of the sun or just the feel good times of summer.  More time for dating at the drive-in and  for your favorite secluded parking places also resulted in more romantic interludes.

 It just seems like the summer was the best time for romance and love.  

Every couple I knew had "their song,"   a song that resulted in eyes meeting and a special smile and kiss meaning  "hey, they are playing our song."
