The 7-inch vinyl record, the 45 rpm cost anywhere between 59 cents to 79
cents in the 60s. These records had a A-side and a B-side. Throughout rock history it was common especially
for popular artists such as Brenda Lee, Connie Francis, Elvis, The Beatles and The Beach Boys to
have a hit on both sides of the record. The Beatles and Elvis led the pack in tag-a-long hits. Billboard
distinguished the top hit as the A-side no matter what the record manufacturer labeled it. When you research
the hits of the 60s through Billboard, you will not find a B-side record scoring higher than an A-side unless
that side was released again later probably the following year.
This themed jukebox is loaded with B-side hits. I have selected 23 of the best b-side
hits. The jukebox window will play the b-side hit and also will reveal the A-side of
these hits. Remember, Billboard treated the side that reached the highest position as the A-side.
