The 60s Official Site Guestbook

Comments:
Though I was born in 1975, I came to love the 60s as a girl in 1986. My mother suggests I may have died at Woodstock and came back 6 years later.

I'm particularly fond of the British invasion, with these beautiful bands doing rock & roll better than the Yanks ever could! And they looked good while at it, too, especially the Who with their beauty, style and power rock!

Love your site. Got a question. Are the commercials available to download to itunes or can I purchase a copy of the 60's commercials. Every year we have our version of Woodstock, however since we're all wine drinkers, we've renamed it Winestock. I usually supply all the music and am looking for some 60's commercials to add to the mix. Anything you can do would be appreciated. Thanks

Admin reply: Thank you for stopping by Ross. Regarding the commercials. I don't have them on the site to download although you probably I wouldn't know about it. These commercials can be purchased at many music stores.

First: I enjoy the site every day. Thank you for your efforts that bring happiness to so many. I have a few songs that I would add to your top 100 of the 60's: Sherry (1962, Four Seasons, of course, instead of all the ones currently on the list);Raindrops (1961, Dee Clark)and A Wonderful Dream (the Majors, 1962), both falsetto masterpieces; Breaking Up is Hard to Do (Sedaka, 1962), I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-to-Die-Rag, 1967, Country Joe and the Fish), White Rabbit, 1967, Jefferson Airplane, and Ball and Chain, Janis Joplin, 1968. :!cool:

Admin reply: Great songs indeed but I could have made a list of 100. The list is my favorite 100 that I was sharing with everybody. Thank you for your comments Steve and for being a big fan of The 60s Official Site.

Thanks fro the site. It brings back many many memories. I love the part about having friends instead of cell phone, video games. How true. I wish some of the kids today could go back and learn the values we learned and followed. Maybe if they did, society wouldn't be going to hell in a hand basket as fast. Just saying. Thanks fir the site again. I hope more people find it and really read what you have to say and understand it. It's good stuff.

Admin reply: Glad you enjoyed the trip back, Carolyn and thanks for signing the guest book.
