Comments: Great site, the 60's were a time that as a youngster, we actually played outside, there were no video games or internet so we were more physically active. I was allowed to stay up until 8pm during the school week and until 10pm on Fri/sat nights which was a really big treat because there were some great TV shows on. Saturday mornings were the best because from 7-10am it was cartoon time on TV,Bugs Bunny,Casper,Huckle Berry Hound, fun times sitting with my siblings in the living room. The music was another thing that was also playing from the radio in my house as my mother did her house work. So,to see a site such as this one invokes great memories!!
Admin reply: Thank you Bob for sharing your memory of a great time to have been a part of.

Comments: I received your website from a friend on Face Book.Love it.Sends me back to high school. One phrase that I distinctly remember back in the 60's, ( I'm not sure if it was just a Chicago phrase, or a phrase used nationwide) the phrase being " for sure " meaning= most definitely, " are you going to see The Dead @ Kiel Auditorium? "...For sure,man... wouldn't miss it ..." Thank-you again for restoring my youth in this fountain.
Admin reply: Thank you for visiting. I hope you continue to stop in Daniel and enjoy the concert.

Comments: Hey I found this site when I was doing some research on drive ins and it helped a ton! I am apart of Campus Activities board at the University of Mobile and I am looking into maybe doing a 1960's Drive in Theme for all the students and all of this info helps a ton Thanks! Are there any specific things that if we do this we just have to have to make it real? I want this to be an amazing copy of what drive in's were.
Admin reply: Thank you for dropping by Michael. Drive-ins what a great big part of the 50s & 60s culture. I would go to our forum and let you get some ideas from our visitors. Start a topic and pick up some memories from other folks. Good luck on your project.
