Thanks for the great site that holds so many fond memories of my childhood. I saw your site for 77 Sunset Strip. I thought I would share that the theme song for this show was composed and arranged by the very talented Frankie Ortega. He lived on my street in Anaheim, Ca. I grew up with his four terrific daughters. I wish you and yours the very best!

Admin reply: Thank you for sharing your memories with us Mitch.

How about Freddie Scotts version of Cry To Me. The Angels were not the first white girl group to go #1. What about the Fontaine Sisters in 54 and The Mcguire Sisters in in 55 & 58.

Admin reply: Why not sign you first name? You are correct the Fontane Sisters and the McGuire Sisters did have #1 hits. The Angels were the first white female group to have a #1 hit during the 60s era. Freddie Scott's version made it to #70 in 1967.

On patrol along the edge of Viet Nam, almost within sight of the Ho Che Men Trail (?spelling.) Everyday around 1pm, Chickenman came over the Arty Radio Bands rebroadcasted (breaking all the rules) from Armed Forces Radio. All the Inf. patrol members bunched around (also breaking all the rules) to cheer on our hero in another exciting adventure. We wanted to be an super hero like Chickenman when we grew up. Well, maybe not exectly like him but ....
