Ah, yes! Beer for a broke sailor, the old Brown Bottle at the Blatz Brewery in Milwaukee. Tour the brewery, get a beer and some wonderful eats - all free!
I remember it like yesterday:

"I'm from Milwaukee, and I ought to know,
It's Blatz, Blatz, Blatz where ever you go.
Smoother and fresher, less filling that's clear
Yes, it's draft brewed Blatz beer, wherever you go.
Blatz is Milwaukee's finest beer."

That may not be exactly right but that's the way I remember it from all those years ago when we had the beer commercials on the radio.
Speaking of the radio, I was a disk jockey for a couple of years, WRSF "Radio Springfield" on board the USS Springfield CLG-7 - playing the weekly top forty and more while we cruised around the Mediterranean as the Flag Ship - US sixth Fleet. What an experience that was!
Keep up the good work on the web site, it's an enjoyable blast from the past.

Admin reply: Thanks for the memory and for visiting The 60s Official Site.

Interesting site. Just found you. I'm wondering if you could help me. I want to locate the rules/steps to a ball game. We played by bouncing the ball off the house. I remember some of it. You throw the ball against the house spin around and clap. Or throw ball under leg.
You did it in steps. Easy to hard etc. Starting at ten times working to one. It is something like this.
I would enjoy being able to teach my grandson this ball game. Hope I gave you enough clues.
Thank you,Lissa

Admin reply: I really don't know that game. What I suggest is go to our forum and ask on it and see if anybody remembers that game. Thank you for stopping by and sorry I can't help you.

Thanks for the great site that holds so many fond memories of my childhood. I saw your site for 77 Sunset Strip. I thought I would share that the theme song for this show was composed and arranged by the very talented Frankie Ortega. He lived on my street in Anaheim, Ca. I grew up with his four terrific daughters. I wish you and yours the very best!

Admin reply: Thank you for sharing your memories with us Mitch.
