This week Eva recalls Mrs. Foster's class at
Lincoln Senior High School in her latest Perspective Through
Art.
You will find I have added a new jukebox this week titled
"Bubbling
Under The Top Ten." These 40 songs from the 60s decade only made it to the 11th spot
on The Billboard Hot 100.

The current week of August 1966 is where we go to listen to the Top Ten Countdown and review the week's
headlines.
The three new songs of the week have been
posted. The 50s selection is from the year 1954 and this group was first known as Pookie
Hudson and the Hudsonaires from Gary, Indiana. On the 60s side we look at duo that were once
members of a group called the Paramours before embarking on their own. Their song is from
1966 and reached #30 on the charts. Our goofy song of the week is from another duo that were
regulars on "The Beverly Hillbillies." Their hit reached #14 on the charts in
1959.

Orleans where the leader of the band was also a session musician for Lloyd Price. The 60s
song of the week comes from a LA band that disbanded after two years and three
LPs.

It has been a long time since I wrote about any
addition adventures while growing up in Circleville. I have just posted a new one titled
Vick's Pizza, Great Pizza, Great
Times.
Eva has returned after taking a long weekend off
for the 4th. I know you will enjoy her latest as much as I did. Take a gander at

The heat of the summer is upon us especially in
the northeast with unprecedented 100 degree temperatures and I recall the summer of 1964 especially
this week of 1964. The Top Ten
Countdown takes you back.
The songs of the
week from the 50s and 60s decade looks at a singer who once was a member of a group called the
Kool Gents. Listen to his hit from 1959. Also a Do-Wop classic is featured from 1962 by
duo who's real names are Roland Trone and Claude Johnson.
