Throughout rock history there have been many versions of great songs especially during the fifties and sixties decade. Each week we will look at two versions of a song and let you decide which version you like the best. You can listen to each version before casting your vote.  The version with the highest total of votes will be determined the winner. Check in next week to find out who the winner is.

Last week you had a choice to select your favorite version of "Banana Boat Song" The artists of choices were The Tarriers or Harry Belafonte.  1957 was the year of The Banana Boat.  The Tarriers and Harry Belafonte released the song around the same time.  Other artists making the charts the same year for this song included; The Fontane Sisters; Steve Lawrence; Sarah Vaughn; Stan Freberg.  The Tarriers peaked at #4 on February 9 and Harry Belafonte's version reached #5 on February 2.  The votes have been counted and the winner, collecting 85% of the votes, is Harry Belafonte.

This week you have the opportunity to choose the best version of "Red Roses for a Blue Lady." As always I recommend you play both versions before voting.
